Dr. M Ramachandran
Dr. M Ramachandran is a well-known Physician based currently in Trivandrum. He is the director of Diagnostic services, consultant diabetologist at SK Hospital and Physician at Poly clinic, both at Trivandrum. He is a gold medalist in Paediatrics and Diabetes research.
He was an active member of various medical associations in India with over 40 years of experience.
He worked as Lecturer in Blood Transfusion at Medical college Trivandrum, assistant and later associate professor in medicine, and research officer in ICMR.
He became the National Board Member MNAMS New Delhi in 1985 and was awarded FIMSA by International Medical Science Academy.
Education
M. Ramachandran completed his MBBS in 1959 from Govt. Medical college followed by Housesurgecy till 1961. He obtained MD from Medical College Trivandrum in 1965.
Experience and Roles
From 1963- to 1965 M Ramachandran was the secretary of IMA Trivandrum. He was also a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine in India. He holds life membership from the Indian Rheumatology Association, RSSDI, API( India) and Kerala Chapter, and India Philatelic Association. He was also an active member of KGMCTA till 1990. He has donned the role of president and Treasurer in various associations, clubs and chapters in India. He was also the chief investigator with ICMR in Diabetes Prevalence study conducted in 1991- 93. He is the adviser in the INAIE study.
He is currently the director of Diagnostic services, a clinical investigation facility close to Trivandrum Medical College.
